🙋How to get to Xi’an

  • ✈️ By plane: Xi’an Xianyang International Airport (choose this airport when going to Xi’an; it’s the closest to the main city)
  • 🚄 By train/high-speed rail: Xi’an North Station, Xi’an South Station, Xi’an Station (Xi’an South Station is not recommended as it’s too far)

🚘 Transportation within Xi’an

  • 🚇 Subway: Xi’an’s subway is very convenient, and most attractions can be reached by subway. You can search for “Chang’an Tong Electronic Card” on Alipay.
  • 🚕 Taxi: The starting fare during the day is 8.5 yuan, and at night it’s 10 yuan (you can also book through platforms).
  • 🚌 Bus: Most buses charge 2 yuan for the entire journey, except for some special line buses. Taking the bus is not highly recommended as it’s slow and prone to traffic jams.

🏠 Accommodation

  • 1️⃣ Bell and Drum Tower: The area around the Bell and Drum Tower is usually the first choice when coming to Xi’an. It’s also the city center of Xi’an, very convenient for food, accommodation, and transportation!
  • 2️⃣ Yongning Gate: It’s close to the 🚇 subway and the famous Xi’an attraction, Liyuan. You can stay right at the foot of the city wall, and there’s even a performance by the South Gate Band at night, which is very romantic~
  • 3️⃣ Giant Wild Goose Pagoda: There are many attractions nearby, not far from the Tang Dynasty Night Market and Tang Paradise. Therefore, the night view is excellent, and it’s convenient for food, accommodation, and transportation.
