Wangxian Valley
📍 Located in Wangxian Township, Guangxin District, Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province.
This small town, heavily recommended by National Geographic, truly holds countless surprises. Each scenic spot is more enchanting than the last, making you question whether you’re in reality or a dream.
Once you arrive, you won’t want to leave—a sentiment shared by many visitors.
After entering the scenic area, there are two routes: clockwise and counterclockwise, both requiring uphill walking. The area is not very large, and you can explore it in about a day. Here, there are different ways to enjoy the scenery during the day and at night. In the daytime, climb to high places for distant views; at night, watch the lights come on.
Especially at night, every frame captured in photos is stunning.

📍Baihe Cliff
Standing on the plank road or observation deck, you can overlook this fairytale village in the valley, not only making for great photos but also offering a very open view.
The best night view is around 18:00 after the lights are on. Climb the mountain and enter the ancient town commercial street of Wangxian Valley. Any spot is a photo point, with ancient costumes and Hanfu being the best companions.
📍Baige Bridge
The view is very open, allowing you to capture the mountains, villages, and ancient bridges in one frame.
For those who enjoy taking these kinds of photos, you can stay here for a while and take beautiful pictures.
📍Lanyue Bridge
A classic bridge view, full of fairy charm, especially at night. At a glance, it’s as if you’re in a fairy world.
📍Yanpu Street Market
An ancient-style street with many shops and delicacies. After taking photos, you can come here to stroll around and experience the local cultural landscape.
It’s as if you’ve stepped into a TV show scene in an instant.
🚘Transportation Guide
Choose to arrive at noon, and there will be a direct bus from Shangrao Station to Wangxian Valley Scenic Area. If you have booked a homestay in Wangxian Township, you can ask the owner to arrange a carpool to pick you up for 35 CNY per person.
The journey takes about an hour. If you’re self-driving, be aware of the many winding mountain roads and large vehicles. If there are no parking spaces at the entrance of the scenic area, you can drive a bit further to Wangxian Township.
