The seasonal purple romance is now unfolding—the 7th “2024 Shanghai Lavender Festival” takes “Purple Rhapsody with You” as its theme, introducing a new “Park+” approach.
The festival integrates flower appreciation with contemporary art, branded music, corporate events, and free camping, bringing a unique early summer experience!
Shanghai Lavender Park boasts a vast 31,000-square-meter lavender sea, which is currently the largest in Shanghai, planted with native Provence lavender varieties.
The lavender sea has just entered its viewing period (the above is a picture from previous years) and is about to bloom in full splendor.
Adjacent to the lavender fields, the rose garden is in full bloom. There are many varieties of roses here, with flowers blooming in clusters and patches, creating a dazzling summer landscape.
This year’s Lavender Festival will be held from May 1st to June 2nd. To enrich the park experience, the large lawn area is divided into five sections: brand interaction, art interaction, trendy food market, music stage, and free camping.
In the art interaction area, the art platform House of Inspiration presents the “3024 Art Container,” showcasing a corner of artist Daniel Arsham’s creative studio.
Inspired by Arsham’s aesthetic concept of “fictional archaeology,” it features more than ten limited-edition “future archaeology” art collections from his Chinese art platform, Archive Editions.
The music stage section will feature performances by overseas independent musicians such as R&B artist Demxntia, known for his representative work “Tonight.”
The food market area offers visitors a unique food and shopping experience, with Mexican restaurants, Vietnamese coffee, and Tsingtao Beer, providing a “taste” journey.
The free camping area combines dining, brand day activities, and music interaction, creating an outdoor leisure check-in point.
It is understood that during the “2024 Shanghai Lavender Festival,” a series of exciting activities will be launched, including a warm Mother’s Day family-themed event (May 12th), Rolling Stone pop music performances (May 18th and 19th), Rolling Stone pop music party (May 25th and 26th), and joyful Children’s Day themed activities (June 1st and 2nd).

Flower viewing hours: 9:00-16:30 (ticket sales stop at 16:00)
Themed event days:
9:00-16:30 (flower viewing), 17:00-20:00 (themed events). Holders of themed event tickets need to re-enter the park with wristbands after the 16:30 clearance.
Elderly people aged 70 and above, children 1.3 meters and below, disabled people, military personnel, firefighters, and veterans with valid documents are granted free entry (limited to flower viewing tickets).
