Beihai Old Street, first built during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, is about 1.4 kilometers long. On both sides of the street are Lingnan-style arcade buildings. Nearby famous attractions include: Impression 1876, the former site of the British Consulate, and the former site of the Qing Dynasty Post Office.
